Report 15 Autocorrelogram Imaging of Friendswood RVSP Data

This report presents the field data test of the improved autocorrelogram method using Friendswood RVSP Data. The improved migration method images the primary reflections, not the ghost reflections. The traces in the original common receiver gathers are autocorrelated after some preliminary processing. We separated the primary reflections from the surface-related ghost-reflections in the autocorrelograms and then the migration images are obtained by using the primary reflection autocorrelogram imaging condition. The resulting are similar to those of standard migration, and the separation of the primary reflections from the ghost-reflections before migration improves the autocorrelogram migrated image.
